About us
FROGCaMP Forest School is a unique program because we travel within the boundaries of Griffith Park between Travel Town and Los Feliz. Meeting in different locations within the park every day allows the children to explore and discover new environments and ecosystems.
FROGCaMP was created as a haven to support children in the development of their social emotional, cognitive, and physical growth through play. We are here to facilitate their development by listening, supporting, and following the children in the exploration of their interests in the natural environment. We view children as the teachers and we are the facilitators. As facilitators we question rather than answer because we understand that once the answer is given, the learning stops. By allowing children to be the architects of their own learning, we ensure that the learning is deep and ongoing.
Our mission is to take early childhood education from teaching to thinking. Children are the teachers; we are the facilitators.
